Philip Gai – MCA ON, came to Canada as a refugee from Sudan, and was born in the city of Malakal, South Sudan. Coming from a Christian family, faith often intersected with real life. Since coming to Canada, Philip had a diverse background from counseling, helping newcomers acclimate to Canada, community services, and church planting. Most recently he was the Director of Ministry to Africans in Canada at AIM. Philip’s Seminary education is from Concordia Lutheran Seminary and as a Lutheran Vicar, he has nearly 10 years of church ministry experience. Philip will be serving multicultural churches serving the GTA and ON. As a father of five, he and his wife look to raise the next generation of Christian leaders, from primary aged, all the way to University. Philip can speak the following languages: Nuer, Dinka, Arabic (Juba), and Shilluk.
