Tim Schultz was born in Nigeria to missionary parents. He spent the first 18 years of his life in Africa before returning to Canada and marrying Esther, a fellow “missionary kid” from Japan. They have been married 27 years and have three awesome boys.
Since 1987, Tim has been a pastor, coach, and church planter catalyst both in Calgary and around the world. He has helped start and coach missional communities in Canada, Norway, Finland, Asia, and Australia. In 2006, Tim completed his master’s degree from St. Stephen’s University with a thesis titled “Forming Healthy Missional Communities in a Postmodern Culture.” Tim is licensed with Vineyard Canada and he serves on the regional leadership team for the Prairie provinces. Tim and Esther worship at Mosaic Vineyard in Calgary.
Both Tim and Esther love traveling and tasting local cuisine. Most weekends Tim can be found coaching his son’s soccer and hockey teams. He loves to play or watch any sports—even cricket! For relaxation, Tim enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, reading a good book while nursing a fine cup of coffee, or going on a date with his wife Esther.
As a Church Advisor with World Vision, Tim is excited about the opportunity to build friendships with pastors and churches. His passion is to help churches partner with God—to walk out justice, friendship, and transformation with people and communities living in poverty.
